Andra Day and Andi Matichak
Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally referred to as Andra day is an American R&B musician and singer. She has won the Grammy Award and Children's and Family Emmy Award. Golden Globe Award and Academy Award nominations are also some of her awards. Andra isn't only an old school R&B artist, but also a gospel singer. Her blues and jazz are displayed in a way which is effortless as well as stylish. The album she released her debut Cheers to the Fall (2015), was an instant record in the hiphop/R&B genre and led to a number of Grammy and Academy Award nominations. Stand Up for Something (2017) was her contribution to Marshall's soundtrack earned both accolades. Amen as well as Take Your Troubles Away and The United States Versus Billie Holiday all have singles that are making fans wait for the arrival of her new album. Andra has been born Cassandra Monique Batie on Edmonds Washington. Growing up in San Diego and surrounding areas her first performance was at church, and then enrolled in at the School of Creative and Performing Arts. In the years following after graduation, she started to explore contemporary R&B, pop and jazz but found herself drawn back to the jazz and soul singers from the old. Kai Millard Morris, who caught a live performance by Day and took her songs to the husband of Stevie Wonder, was the main breakthrough. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day has been signed to Warner Bros. after gaining a large YouTube audience along with Gurvitz and Jeffrey Evans Buskin. It was played promptly on radio by DJs. After the signing of Warner Bros. Records, she began to work with producer Adrian Gurvitz for the album she released as her first "Cheers to the fall" (2015). It featured the track Rise Up which became an anthem for social justice movements across the globe. The album won two times for Grammys. This included Best R&B Album. The United States vs. Billie Holiday, a concept-album that chronicles the legendary jazz artist's life, was released in the year the year 2019. That same year she starred in a biopic on Holiday's life, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Mathichak was born in the US. Her first appearance was on television shows like 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods before making her film debut with Allyson Nelson, in the horror movie series Halloween and its sequels. Andi matichak was an American actress born in Framingham on the 3rd day of May, 1994.
